Los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria constituyen condiciones complejas y multifactoriales que impactan significativamente la salud física y mental de quienes los padecen. Al finalizar la presentación, los participantes contarán con herramientas básicas para reconocer estos trastornos y comprender mejor su complejidad y necesidad de intervención oportuna.

Eating disorders are complex and multifactorial conditions that significantly impact the physical and mental health of those who suffer from them. The objective of this presentation is to provide participants with a clear and practical understanding of the major eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other specified feeding or eating disorders. Throughout the presentation, the fundamental diagnostic criteria for these disorders will be reviewed, along with the primary biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors that contribute to their onset and development. Furthermore, the most common signs and symptoms will be addressed to facilitate their early identification in various clinical and community settings. By the end of the presentation, participants will possess basic tools to recognize these disorders and gain a better understanding of their complexity and the need for timely intervention.
