  • Wendy Oliver-Pyatt
    Wendy Oliver-Pyatt, MD, is a world-leading expert in mental health and eating disorder treatment, and the co-founder, CEO and Chief Medical Officer at Within Health and Galen Hope in South Florida. A board-certified psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience, she is known for her innovative, humane, and dignity-enhancing approach to care. Dr. Oliver-Pyatt’s treatment model addresses the underlying factors contributing to mental health conditions, empowering individuals with the skills, tools, and support to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. She completed her specialty training at NYU–Bellevue Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident, and has held faculty positions at NYU, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the University of Nevada School of Medicine. A Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders and the American Psychiatric Association, she has received senatorial recognition for her leadership in advancing mental health care. Dr. Oliver-Pyatt is the author of Questions and Answers on Binge Eating Disorder: A Guide for Clinicians and was named by USA Today as a Top Healthcare Entrepreneur of 2024 and Beyond.

  • Leah Graves, RDN, LDN, hon CEDS-C, F.iaedp, FAED
    Leah L. Graves, RDN, LDN, hon CEDS-C, F.iaedp, FAED brings more than 40 years of experience in eating disorder nutrition care across clinical practice, health system leadership, education, and advocacy. She is Principal of Graves Nutrition Consultancy, LLC and a Partner with Complex Solutions for Eating Disorders, providing advanced consultation, training, and program development to professionals and treatment organizations. Leah is a Certified Trainer for Dietitians with the Temperament-Based Therapy with Support (TBT-S) Training Institute and Co-Editor of Eating Disorder Review, the clinical journal of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp), roles that position her at the forefront of developing and disseminating best practice nutrition care in eating disorder treatment. A founding member and Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) and a Fellow of iaedp, she currently co-chairs the AED Nutrition Task Force and is a frequent national and international speaker and author focused on advancing standards of nutrition therapy for eating disorders.

  • Lisa Kilpela, PhD
    Dr. Lisa Smith Kilpela is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, with a cross-appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She serves as Associate Director of the Center for Research to Advance Community Health (ReACH Center), Director of the UT Health SA Dialectical Behavior Therapy program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and she is a faculty member within the Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies. Dr. Smith Kilpela is a licensed clinical psychologist and implementation scientist working to reduce health disparities through community-engaged research. Much of her career has involved community-based participatory research methods in the domain of increasing scalability and sustainable delivery of evidence-based interventions into communities. This work is rooted in considerations of contextual factors that impact intervention delivery and aims to improve health disparities. She is a 2019 Beeson Emerging Leaders Scholar from the NIH/AFAR, and her research has been supported by funding from the NIH/NIA, AHRQ, Texas DSHS, VA, ARPA, and HRSA. Also, Dr. Smith Kilpela has contributed to the Body Project for nearly 25 years, including serving as a master trainer for much of this time. She co-developed with Dr. Becker the peer-facilitator model used in the Body Project and its various iterations. Dr. Smith Kilpela is dedicated to challenging the eating disorders stereotype by engaging historically understudied communities and making strides toward improving mental health equity among underrepresented and underserved populations.

  • Danielle Gonzales, PsyD, NHRSP
    Dr. Dani Gonzales, PsyD is the Clinical Director of the Eating and Body Image Concerns (MEBIC) Program in the Department of Psychiatry at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and serves as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry. She specializes in treating complex eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, with advanced training in DBT, RO-DBT, and CBT. Dr. Gonzales is a virtual clinical supervisor at Esperanza of San Antonio, founder of the Higher Education Eating Disorder Association (HEEDA), and maintains a private practice in Southern California.
