Lauren Francis is a Licensed Psychological Associate and the Clinical Director at Chrysalis Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Appalachian State University and has extensive experience across outpatient care, intensive outpatient programs, and university counseling settings.
Lauren specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and trauma. Her approach is grounded in collaboration, authenticity, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention, she helps clients cultivate self-compassion, resilience, and meaningful change.
She is particularly passionate about the intersection of trauma and eating disorders, and the ways in which unaddressed trauma can shape one’s relationship with the body, food, and self. Lauren’s clinical work emphasizes both safety and empowerment, supporting clients as they move toward recovery with greater clarity, courage, and self-trust.
